we can show you some pictures of young people and lawyers in jeans and talk about the future, or we can just lay it out truthfully.
If you want to be a lawyer, i mean really want to be one, then it will be hard. Nobody is giving anybody anything for free. You’ll have to work at it. But if you do. If you commit. Then we will look after you and this will be the happiest time of your life so far.
Simple. Complete an online application form. The application deadline for vacation placements is 31 December and training contract applications 31 July.
Need some advice? No problem. Here’s a little collection of hints and tips to help you through the process and (more importantly) help you stand out.
Not only do we have hints and tips, but we also have a step by step recruitment report that can help you ace the end to end recruitment process! Read here.
Once the deadline has shuffled by, we’ll review all the applications and select candidates that we’d like to invite to an assessment day.
These are very similar to sas: who dares wins… only kidding. An assessment day involves you spending half a day at our offices to carry out a workshop style exercise.
As well as basking in the glow of your own glory and brilliance, you’ll be offered a place on the vacation placement scheme.
We’ll give you dates for a one week placement and you’ll have a choice of department. For training contract applications, after the assessments, if you are successful you’ll be invited to a face to face interview with two partners/senior associates.
If you have carried out an assessment day/interview, we let you know the outcome usually within two weeks.
Don’t worry. We know this might feel intimidating but it’s in our interests for you to do well. We want your application to be amazing and we want you to succeed.
So, if you’re feeling stuck and have any further questions which aren’t covered on the website, then talk to us and we will be happy to help.
