Diversity

IT’S A BASIC HUMAN RIGHT TO FEEL SAFE AND CERTAIN THAT YOU WON’T BE DISCRIMINATED AGAINST OR HARASSED AT YOUR WORKPLACE. YOU SHOULD ALSO EXPECT TO BE VALUED AND GIVEN THE SAME OPPORTUNITIES FOR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT REGARDLESS OF RELIGION, AGE, SEX, SEXUAL ORIENTATION, DISABILITY, GENDER REASSIGNMENT, RACE OR PREGNANCY AND MATERNITY.

Put simply, we do not tolerate any kind of discrimination, and if it ever arises, we will act swiftly and decisively. It is not right and never will be.

Our overall law firm goal is to have balanced representation across the firm. The individuality that people bring is the lifeblood of our business, and to not grow with a rich and diverse talent base would only harm us as an organisation and limit us as people. Here are a few things we’re proud to talk about:

  • We have six newly assigned and trained  “Diversity Champions” who help champion good practice, encourage participation and provide a voice across the firm for all D&I aspects and initiatives
  • We work closely with universities and actively in local communities to help people prepare for a law career and to make people feel it is a realistic career choice regardless of their background
  • We launched our reverse mentoring scheme in 2021, which includes nine mentors matched with nine board members/heads
  • A good proportion of our lawyers / Partners come from a non-private school education
  • We’re a member of the NOTICED diversity network for law firms
  • We’re a signatory to The Law Society’s Diversity and Inclusion Charter
